Rental Insurance Requirements

All drivers must be at least 21 years of age to rent our cars. Drivers must be 25 years of age to rent a 12-15 passenger van.

All renters of Cars, SUVs, and Mini Vans must have liability insurance on their personal automobile insurance policy.

Credit cards provide collision and comprehensive insurance.
Credit cards do not provide liability insurance.

Unfortunately, Foreign citizens do not have automobile insurance that will provide coverage for cars rented in the United States.

When Americans rent a car, the insurance on the automobile that they own will extend to cover a rental car. If they have an accident, their insurance will cover the damage on the rental car.

Credit cards only cover collision and comprehensive (damage to the rental car) They do not cover liability (damage to the other drivers car of injury to the other driver).

Foreign citizens do not have insurance on their car that will extend to cover a car rented in the USA.

Harleys Rent Alaska, Inc. does not sell Collision Damage Waivers.

Harleys Rent Alaska, Inc. does not accept temporary insurance policies that are secondary to Harleys Rent Alaska commercial rental policy.
